Terms of Use

The rules for using What Should We Watch, in plain English.

Effective 29 September 2026 · Contact: ayush.agrawal7661@gmail.com

In short

  • The app is free and suggests films to watch. Suggestions are just that: suggestions.
  • Be fair: no scraping, no abuse, and respect the daily limits.
  • Streaming services, Apple and Google have their own terms, and those apply when you use them.
  • The app is provided as is, and is still being improved.

1. Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Manali (manali.page, “we”, “us”) for your use of the What Should We Watch app and its services (“the service”). By using the service you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Using the service

The service helps you pick a film to watch from what is streaming on your services in your country. You may use it for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live.

3. Accounts

You can use the app as a guest or sign in with Apple, Google or an email code. If you sign in, keep access to your sign-in method secure; you are responsible for activity on your account. Please give accurate information and tell us if you think someone else has accessed your account.

4. Acceptable use

Please do not:

  • scrape, crawl, copy or bulk-download the service or its catalogue, or access it by automated means other than the app itself;
  • try to get around the daily deck limits, rate limits or other restrictions, for example by creating many guest identities or accounts;
  • reverse engineer, interfere with, overload or try to break the security of the service;
  • use the service to break the law or to harass or harm anyone, including through the feedback you send;
  • resell the service or use it to build a competing product.

5. Recommendations are suggestions

Suggestions and the short reasons shown with them are generated automatically, partly with AI, and may be wrong, incomplete or not to your taste. Which films are available on which service changes often and comes from a third-party catalogue, so a film may have left a service, need an extra payment, or be listed incorrectly. Check the details in the streaming service before relying on them. Film ratings and content are the responsibility of their owners; use your own judgement about what is suitable for you and anyone watching with you.

6. Third-party services

When you open a film, you leave the app for the streaming service’s app or website, and its terms, prices and privacy policy apply. Signing in with Apple or Google is governed by their terms. We are not responsible for third-party services, and we do not provide streaming subscriptions.

The app is distributed through Apple’s App Store. Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for the app or its support, but Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them. Your use of the app must also follow the App Store’s usage rules.

7. Content and intellectual property

The app, its design, its name, the Manali brand and Disco are owned by Manali and protected by intellectual property laws. We give you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, under these terms.

Film titles, descriptions, posters, artwork and other film metadata belong to their respective owners and are shown for identification and discovery only. Streaming service names and logos belong to their owners, and their appearance does not mean they endorse the app.

8. Feedback

We love hearing from you. If you send us feedback or ideas, you give us permission to use them to improve the service, without any obligation or payment to you. Please do not include anything confidential.

9. The service is provided as is

The service is free and still evolving. Features may change, pause or be removed, and the service may sometimes be unavailable or contain bugs. To the fullest extent the law allows, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Manali will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the service in the previous twelve months (which, for a free app, is nothing) and USD 50. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you, and nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.

11. Ending your use

You can stop using the service at any time, and delete your account from Account → Delete account in the app. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if we need to in order to protect the service or other users, and we may stop offering the service. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property, disclaimers and limitation of liability) continue after your use ends.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the effective date above, and for significant changes we will tell you in the app. If you keep using the service after a change, the updated terms apply.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, except where the law of the place you live gives you protections that cannot be overridden.
